Bridesmaids and Groomsmen

Choosing Wedding Attendants

Siblings of the bride and groom are traditionally asked to serve as the bride and groom's maid of honor (or matron of honor) and best man. Other close family members or friends may also fill these roles, and are also often chosen to be bridesmaids and ushers.

It is perfectly acceptable, however, to have only one maid/matron of honor and best man (with no other attendants), more than one maid of honor or best man, or no wedding party at all.
