It's
important to wear a foundation for your wedding day even if you
don't normally wear one. Your skin will look more even in
tone,
your make-up will last longer and your make-up will look more polished
and complete for your close up wedding photos.
What formula? I am a fan of liquid foundations applied with a make-up brush. Select a high quality formula so it feels feather light on your skin. ![]() Select a formula that suits your skin type:
I would suggest you gain a good selection of foundation samples. Visit a professional cosmetics brand and ask one of their artists to recommend a few shades and formulas for your skin – ask for samples and test these on your skin at home in day light. The shade that blends in without looking like an artificial layer 'sitting' on your skin surface is the correct shade.

If you have booked a professional make-up artist to apply your make-up for your wedding but you are not having a trial run, consider asking your make-up artist to use your own foundation on the day of your wedding (I would only recommend this if you are going to use a professional foundation formula, which you have tested on your skin before your wedding day).
