Wedding InvitationsOrdering wedding invitations online can save a lot of money, and turnaround time may be even faster than a local dealer.
TIP: If you would like to have a calligrapher address your invitations and announcements, consider hiring an art student from a local college to save money. You might also want to consider having a graphic design student design your wedding invitation if you are looking for invites which are a bit more unique and "one-of-a-kind," while still remaining within your budget. When you have a completed invitation set (with reply card, envelope and any other enclosures) take it to your local post office to determine the necessary amount of postage. Be sure to buy enough stamps for both the reply
envelopes and the invitations themselves, and feel free to choose
stamps that match your own unique personality (flowers, etc.) There is
actually a cool new service that the USPS offers now called PhotoStamps When everything's ready to go, bring your stamped invitations to the post office to have them hand cancelled rather than just dropping them in a mail box. This will help you own peace of mind in seeing them off, and they'll be spared the wear and tear of going through the automated machines. Recommended Resources
